Can facial oil be used on oily skin?
Our facial oil with Calendula and Geranium has purposely been designed for all skin types. It is made up of relatively dry oils that will not leave your face looking greasy and that sink in quickly. A common misconception is that face oils shouldn´t be used by people with oily skin but in fact they can really help especially with ingredients like jojoba oil and geranium essential oil both of which help to regulate and balance the skin´s sebum. Therefore, by using a facial oil you are helping your skin to balance, rather then what can potentially happen with people with oily skin, that they try so hard to get rid of the oil and the skin then goes into overdrive making more.
If you do have oily skin, we would suggest starting with 3-4 drops of Facial Oil if you need more you can always add it!
Is this face oil anti-aging?
Yes! Our Facial Oil is composed of a harmonious blend of carrier and essential oils each bringing amazing qualities to the blend.
All the individual oils in the blend have anti-aging properties amongst others.
Grapeseed oil helps strengthen collagen and maintain elastin, it is high in vitamin E. Hemp seed oil is anti-inflammatory and helps protect against cellular damage, jojoba oil is regenerative and toning, passionfruit oil is high in vitamin C and helps support collagen formation, pomegranate seed oil is cell regenerative, helps to increase the skin´s elasticity and repair sun and weather damage, it also is high in antioxidants and helps support collagen production and rosehip oil is also regenerative helping support collagen formation and increase elastin, it is also very helpful for scars and blemishes.
In addition to these, patchouli essential oil is incredible regenerative and helpful with scar healing, and the other essential oils are skin healing, balancing, and calming. The calendula extract is anti-inflammatory and skin calming.
So yes, this oil is anti-aging and protective.
Is it good for dry skin?
Absolutely, the face oil is made up of relatively dry oils which absorb very quickly if you have very dry skin we would recommend putting on a few extra drops start with 7-8 and see how your skin feels with that! You can always add more.

Is it good for acne prone skin?
Absolutely, while both jojoba oils and geranium essential oil help to balance sebum production, calendula extract, lavender and patchouli essential oils along with hemp seed and pomegranate oils rush in with their anti-inflammatory properties to help calm the acne and heal spots more quickly, rosehip oil and patchouli oil help prevent any spots which may have been picked not to scar. Grapeseed oil tones and is slightly astringent and pomegranate oil goes into protection overdrive helping to regenerate healthy skin giving a good dose of antioxidants. Grapefruit essential oils takes all of these amazing properties and helps them the penetrate further into the skin, it is also an amazing cleansing oil and very helpful for congested skin.
Is it good for combination skin?
Absolutely! Skin can change on a day to day, month to month or year to year basis, we like to think of our facial oil as adaptable to your skin needs. If your T zone is particularly oily one morning, perhaps start with 2 or 3 drops but if your cheeks are super dry then add a few more drops to them.
Can face oil replace serum?
That completely depends on your definition of serum!
The cosmetic marketplace sometimes likes to have ten names for the same thing or one name for a variety of things… perhaps it is to confuse everyone!
We have seen facial oils being called serums, so if this is your view on a serum then absolutely, we have some beautiful ingredients in our face oil as well as active ingredients which target skin regeneration, inflammation, toning and of course moisturising.
However, if your view is, as ours, as a serum being a water based product full of water based actives then no. This won´t replace that.
Will it help my skin to glow?
Yes! It is packed with potent moisturising, regenerative, soothing, calming, nutrient, antioxidant, and vitamin rich ingredients you can definitely get your glow on with our facial oil.
