Does it feel like a normal lotion but solid?
No it has a different texture more like a body butter or thick lotion rather then a thin water based lotion. There is no water present in this bar so to form a rudimentary lotion we advise you use it on damp skin.
Will it leave my skin greasy?
This depends on how you are applying it. If applied in a thin layer over damp skin – no. If applied heavily on dry skin it will leave it feeling slightly greasy.
Can I take this to the beach with me?
We would advise you not to take it to the beach or leave it in the car if you live in a hot climate (like here in Tenerife). It is designed to slightly melt upon contact with the skin, so leaving it in the sun or a very hot place will melt it. We advise that you keep it below 30 degrees.
Does this work for all over the body?
Yes it is perfect to use all over the body apart from the face, as it has cocoa butter and coconut oil which do tend to be comedogenic for the face.
How long will it last?
This 110g bar can last up to 2 -3 months depending on use, if you´re using it only for dry zones it will last a lot longer.
Can I use it for anything else?
We have one stationed on our desks as a hand balm and it works well as a lip balm in a pinch.
It melted a bit what do I do?
If it is a complete puddle of oily butter and you can put it in a container do so and put it in the fridge. If it is a heatwave and it´s unusually hot you can either keep it in a cooler place (if there is one) or in the fridge.
It melted now it´s grainy. What do I do?
It goes grainy because of the different waxes, butters and oils solidifying at different temperatures. We recommend you stir it until it resolidifies to avoid this.
